Rafael Sanchez

Wine Director

Rafael Sanchez, a certified Sommelier, has over a decade of experience in the food and wine industry. While working as the Beverage Director at The Raymond Restaurant in Pasadena, a taste of a 1945 Cheval Blanc inspired Sanchez to fully dedicate himself to sharing his passion and love for wine. He went on to serve as the Sommelier and Manager of POP Champagne Bar in Pasadena, before moving on to work with acclaimed wine critic James Suckling on the launch of Suckling’s website. For the role, Sanchez traveled extensively, which offered him the opportunity to further strengthen his expertise in prominent wine regions such as Bolgheri, Brunello, Barolo, and Chianti.

In 2013, Rafael moved to San Diego with his family and began working as a captain at Addison, continually challenging himself to meet the high standards of a five-star restaurant before rising the ranks to become Wine Director in 2016.
